Bicentennial of Lafayette’s Farewell Tour Visits Mystic, CT

its victory in a stunning historic race in New York Harbor between American and British

display as the oldest Whitehall racing boat in existence. AFL President Alan Hoffman will
present the story of the American Star in the context of The Farewell Tour in an illustrated
lecture in a private meeting room at Mystic Seaport Museum.

built in Mystic in 1976.
