Enjoy a fall afternoon on the bank of the James River with a spectacular view of the Richmond skyline only a mile upriver.

You’ll revel at his Rock Star experiences on the 1824 Tour of the United States as a ‘Guest of the Nation’. Just as exciting are his memories of joining the Continental Army! Then, per General Washington’s orders, General Lafayette spent 1781 in command of the Continental Army skirmishing in Richmond and throughout central Virginia with Cornwallis and the British Army. What a story, weaving together Lafayette’s military, financial, political, and cultural contributions to our country’s Independence.
