Friday, March 7, 2025 ~ Cheraw to Camden, SC:

The Marquis departs Cheraw for events in Camden.

Camden: Tour of Camden is given, including the Camden Battlefield and Hobkirk Hill.

6 pm: Casual tavern night with music, drinks, and food from Half-Crown Bakehouse available for purchase.

Saturday, March 8, 2025, ~ Camden, SC:

10 am – Lafayette arrival ceremony at redoubt, Kershaw House – cannon salute and recreation of welcoming speeches.

10:30 am – Parade

11 am – Reenactment of laying the cornerstone of the DeKalb monument

Occurrences during the day from 10 am to 4 pm – Living History open house with Lafayette. Talks on music at the time of Lafayette; various lectures pertaining to his life and visit.

Children’s activities, handicrafts, Lafayette, and Abolition talk.

(Lunch available for purchase from Half-Crown Bakehouse)

5 pm – 1825 Dinner at McCaa’s Tavern followed by a procession to Kershaw House for the Gala Ball. Music ensemble courtesy of USC.

Sunday, March 9, 2025 – Camden, SC:

Horses and Heroes, Time to be determined.  Lafayette leaves for Columbia, SC
