200th Anniversary of Lafayette’s visit to Murfreesboro NC

Please join us in welcoming the Marquis de Lafayette back into Murfreesboro at the Murfreesboro Town Hall at 5:00 pm.  Following the welcome ceremony, there will be a reception across the street at the Hertford Academy with a proclamation declaring Lafayette Day.  The Herford Academy building was built in 1811.

The events are free and open to the public
