FREE – Join us for a ceremony with the American Friends of Lafayette and an appearance by the Marquis to mark the 200th anniversary of his visit to Petersburg.  The new Lafayette Trail marker at Poplar Lawn will also be dedicated.  The American Friends of Lafayette exhibit will be on view at the Petersburg Public Library from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm (201 W. Washington Street, 23803 – ppls.org).  Before or after the ceremony you can enjoy this historic city and its many restaurants and shops in Old Towne (visitpetersburgva.org).
