Bicentennial of Lafayette’s Tour Visits Richmond, VA
October 30, 2024 @ 6:00 pm–7:30 pm
FREEStep back in time as we perform a staged reading of Lafayette’s historic visit to historic Masons Hall two centuries ago – in the same building where it took place. This performance is interactive and you can be a part of this historic meeting. After the lodge room, we will reenact the toasts given during the banquette for Brother Lafayette with non-alcoholic beverages.
Masons Hall, the venue, was built in 1785 and is the actual location from which Lafayette was received. Lafayette is an honorary member of our lodge and we have his original signature, along with that of his son and personal secretary on our Bylaws. This is unique for Masonic lodges of which he was made an honorary member.
Experience the rich history and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to witness a piece of history come to life!
Note: There won’t be a charge for tickets but this will be a ticketed event due to limited seating. Please reserve your spot here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lafayette-visits-masons-hall-bicentennial-reenactment-tickets-997290561917?aff=oddtdtcreator
