Join us on April 5th as Cahawba Welcomes Lafayette!  The 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s visit to Alabama’s first state capital will be a fun-filled day of reenactments, music, food, dancing, and more. Follow along as Lafayette is welcomed to Cahawba by Governor Pickens and other townspeople, stepping from the pages of history. Visit vendors and information booths, learn historic dance steps,  sample wild game or grab a BBQ plate, and learn more about Lafayette while viewing the short film “Follow the Frenchman”.  This FREE event is open to the public.
