Reenactment: Lafayette meets Revolutionary War Veterans in Tolland, Wine Tasting, and Tea

Tolland, CT: On September 4, 1824, Lafayette stopped at Elijah Smith’s Tavern in Tolland where the General met with Revolutionary War veterans. The Tolland Historical Society is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the visit with the return of Lafayette to Tolland and a weekend of events.

Friday: 2:00-6:00 pm Re-enactors on Tolland Green announcing the arrival of Gen Lafayette.

Saturday: 3:00-4:00 pm   Old Tolland County Court House, 53 Tolland Green, Fayette Lodge Masonic Roll Call. A Lafayette re-enactor and a Lafayette Exhibit, sponsored by the American Friends of Lafayette, will be present at this event.

4:30 -6:00 pm Wine tasting

6:00 pm Light French cuisine 

Sunday: 1:00 pm Old Tolland County Court House, 53 Tolland Green, Tea and Cakes with Lafayette
